Thanksgiving rehash

So, the Cornish hens were huge and didn't get all the way done, even though I left them in for long. They had to get chucked in the microwave for a few minutes. You know, I used to like Cornish hens because they were small and served one person, but these were enormous! One was plenty for two people.

Everything else went well, though, and I added polenta to the menu. Mom likes it, but my stepfather doesn't, so she rarely gets to have it. I've got the last bit of it in my lunch today, as well as leftover kale - yummy!

Actually, the leftovers are almost gone already. All that's left is one Cornish hen (probably fated to be dog treats) and about one serving of mashed potatoes.

Pretty tasty weekend, all in all!
