What-ing the line?

You gotta love it when you catch the illustrious New York Times in a word usage error. From Frank Rich's column, "Bono's new casualty: 'Private Ryan'"

The pressure groups that are exercised by Bono and "Saving Private Ryan" are often the same ones who are campaigning to derail any news organization that's not towing the administration line in lockstep with Fox.

It's "toeing," not "towing."

I hate when words are used incorrectly, even though this mistake is at least understandable - something that a spellchecker could mess up for you. But I have to admit, it's kind of fun catching the New York Times in a mistake. :)
