Wonderful thrift store find. Eight trade paperback books, all fairly hefty, a couple that I've been wanting to read. Bought for a grand total of $2.
Click on the photo for a bigger one so you can read the titles (I'm far too lazy to type them all in).
Has anyone read any of these? What did you think?

Let me know what you thought of Bel Canto - I've just finished that one. I also picked up the Three Junes and it is on this month's read list.
Love it when I can get a great deal on good books!
Lindsey read Bel Canto. I think she liked it a lot. I know it encouraged her to learn more about Opera so that says something.
This is true. I finished Bel Canto about two months ago. An interesting read - not life-changing, but I liked the how the author was able to quickly sum up a person's characteristics and personality with a well-done paragraph. Her characters were the strong points. And as Keven said, it started me to listen to The Teaching Company's "How to Listen to and Understand Opera" (from the library). Discussions of the lectures are on my website, lovelysalome.blogspot.com - but I started it after I read Bel Canto so I don't have an official review there.
I read The Fourth Hand (I'm new to reading your blog, Hi!) and it was weird. I love John Irving though, so was excited to read it. It's one of his stranger works, but interesting, and gripping because you can't believe he's WRITING these ideas.
