Potatoes!

We have a potato! A little tiny baby one, but we have successfully grown at least one potato!

It's maybe an inch long. Here are the pretty potato flowers. I didn't even know that potatoes flowered.

How exciting! I have been meaning to try potatoes as sort of a "family-kid friendly" thing, but didn't this year. Next year for sure.

I'm growing some myself this year! (From ones that decided to sprout in my pantry.) What are you doing digging yours up already?

So neat - I love it when stuff grows, it makes me feel so successful, even if it was entirely nature's doing.

My grams grows little red potatoes and she ALWAYS digs them up too soon. They're good when they're babies.

Cool!! I wish I could get things to grow (besides mess). I don't have a green thumb at all!
