This 8" dog bowl is packed full of Cordy fur that I pulled out by hand - I didn't even have to use the brush. Ah, the joys of owning a double-coated dog!

My mom (who spins wool) read about a woman who spun dog fur and made yarn of them. Little short furs, so it would take practice, but you could spin dog wool to crochet coats for your dogs :)
Ohhhh are you going to spin it? I've recently found a tutorial on spinning your pets' hair. I can send you the link if you're interested? Err way I believe it was a newsletter but I can forward it to you.
Contrary to popular belief unless you've got a particularly smelly breed of dog the scent washes out after 1-2 washings. Some dog fur even felts, heh.
