Do you crave cacti?

Like cacti, but hate the pointy bits? Crochet one!

Or two, actually.

In a 1976 knit and crochet magazine that I found at Half Price Books, there is not one, but two - count them two - patterns for crocheted cacti. Cat apparently not included.

Look for a couple other patterns from the mag to appear in this space soon. They're clothing patterns that have actually stood the test of time!

OMG, I would LOVE to take a looksee at that book. Actually, ever since my trip to Phoenix last year, I've had cacti on my list of things to crochet.

Cool find!

neat - though I must say that the cactus with the kitty looks a bit, um, phallic. :)

also: yay! that Kaylee is better.

Too funny!! My mum could finally have a cactus that would not poke her! She threw her last cactus out probably in 1976 when these patterns were being published when she got a quill jammed underneath her finger and had to have it surgically removed.....oh ouch!!! lol

Are you going to make one???
