Sun and shadow
It's been one of those days.
I went to the vet's office today for the first time since we were last there with Indy, and it was harder than I expected. But Cordy needed her tramadol since the weather's getting cold so I went. I made it quick and got to pet some kittens.
I also made soup while our fridge got fixed.
Ginger roasted butternut soup. Pretty good. I'll probably write up the recipe it was that good.I also had a biopsy on my thyroid today, when I went in just expecting a check-up. No biggie, but the doctor just didn't feel comfortable handing me back to my regular doctor without checking it out completely.
It's the little tiny red bit that looks more like a zit than anything else. (If you click on the picture, then mouseover, I've put a box over it.) Five needle's-worth. You wouldn't think that something so small would hurt so damned much. And they stole blood, too. Just to be spiteful, I think.
But, it was a beautiful day. One of those crystal-clear fall days. The girls liked it, at least.
Cordy's mousing in the back, hiding from the mean ol' sun, while Kaylee's basking in it while she can.

I hope the biopsy comes out well. Yes, the little things seem to hurt the most.
